HHRA Initiatives to Promote Neigbourhood Road Safety
In 2023, HHRA followed up on resident's concerns and requested the city to conduct a traffic study on Durie, Carolyn and Carrington Road. The city determined that there were speeding concerns on Durie and Carrington and forwarded the results to Peel Regional Police for enforcement considerations. As a result, several otherTraffic Calming Measures have been taken including:

An electronic speed indicator recently placed on Carrington.

A painted crosswalk recently established at Bristol and Durie.

In addition to Carolyn, Durie and Carrington will also get pavement markings (at a later date). ​​​​​​

Recent city proposed initiatives to promote neighbourhood road safety include:

A raised pedestrian crossing will be installed on Main Street by Culham Trail.

Rolling out Community Safety Zones (outside of school areas) across neighbourhoods in which speeding has been a concern.
