HHRA Connects 2026: A Perfect Morning of Community, Wellness and Connection. The Hazel Heights Residents Association’s HHRA Connects 2026 community picnic was a wonderful success and a perfect example of what makes our neighbourhood so special. The day began with an energizing outdoor yoga session in Brown’s Heights Park under a clear blue sky and pleasant temperatures of around 20°C.

 

Residents then rolled up their sleeves to help clean and beautify the park, demonstrating our shared commitment to keeping our community vibrant and welcoming. One of the highlights of the morning was the opportunity to connect with neighbours and community leaders. We were delighted to welcome City Councillor Joe Horneck, City Councillor and Mayoral Candidate Alvin Tedjo, representatives from Peel Regional Police and Safe City Mississauga, as well as MP Rechie Valdez, all of whom graciously took the time to join us, engage in meaningful conversations, and hear directly from residents.

 

Of course, no community gathering would be complete without great food. The BBQ team kept the grills busy all morning, serving up perfectly cooked burgers accompanied by fresh salads. The food disappeared almost as quickly as it was prepared—a sure sign that it was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone!

With neighbours meeting neighbours, community partners sharing valuable information, contributions collected for Food Banks Mississauga, and plenty of laughter and conversation throughout the morning,

 

HHRA Connects 2026 was a fantastic way to spend a Saturday. A heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers, community partners, elected officials, and residents who helped make the event such a memorable success.
